The Artist
Margo has always been drawn to art as a creative outlet. Throughout high school and college she experimented with various media from oil painting, to woodcut printing, to metal casting. On her own time she worked to create her own designs in beaded jewelry.
Over time she realized a personal style for creating highly detail oriented work. Such a style translated well into the world of fine metal-smithing.
In 2010 Margo moved out to California to learn the art of fine jewelry from the California Institute of Jewelry Training. She returned home in 2011 to New York and worked for Leon Mege in Manhattan's diamond district producing fine platinum jewelry for 7 years. In her free time she continued to work on her own line of jewelry.
After leaving Leon Mege, Margo worked as a nursery school teacher and a production assistant for Amy Kanarek Designs. Beginning in 2023, Margo now works as the art teacher part time at Ben Porat Yosef in Paramus, NJ.
Margo continues to infuse her passion for art into every aspect of her life. Balancing her role as an art teacher with her jewelry designs, she brings a unique perspective to her classroom, inspiring her students with the same creativity and dedication that have defined her career. Her ongoing commitment to both teaching and designing reflects her belief in the power of art to transform and enrich lives. Whether guiding young minds or crafting intricate jewelry pieces, Margo's journey embodies a seamless blend of artistic vision and practical experience, demonstrating that true creativity knows no bounds.
